A residence hall at Northeastern University was closed indefinitely when a structural assessment showed signs of significant internal and external water damage. White Hall is a five-story traditional residence hall built in 1899. The building has housed hundreds of first-year students each academic year. A week before first-year students were scheduled to move in, university officials announced that students assigned to White Hall would be reassigned to another residence.
