The U.S. EPA is prioritizing cleanup efforts at the Lower Neponset River Superfund site in Mattapan. Sampling will be conducted, and cleanup actions are being considered at Riverside Square and the Lewis Chemical site. Cleanup work at the Lewis Chemical site will begin in April, addressing PCB contamination and lasting around seven months. The EPA will implement measures in an effort to protect public health and develop a traffic management plan in collaboration with the City of Boston.
