A fire, originating on July 7th near the Washburn Trail in Yosemite's Mariposa Grove, has grown to over 2,000 acres. The fire is threatening the grove of iconic sequoia trees that have been in the region for thousands of years. People in the community of Wawona, California, which is surrounded by national park land and campgrounds, were ordered to leave their homes and campsites on July 8th.
